WEDDING DRESS TRENDS FOR 2024/2025

MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT

FOR THE FASHION FORWARD BRIDE

Lovelies – we are entering a new year as we’re so excited to unveil the top trends that are set to take centre stage in bridal design 2024. This year, it’s not just about the dress; it’s about making a statement and pushing bridal boundaries. From daring thigh-high splits to versatile 2-look bridal gowns, how will you incorporate trending bridal fashion into your 2024 or 2025 bridal look?

Thigh-high splits

Though not exclusively new to 2024, thigh-high splits are becoming more and more popular in bridal fashion and we’re seeing all styles of dresses featuring this sultry statement. From princess-style dresses to contemporary dresses and everything in-between, the split is the perfect way to add a subtle touch of glamour to your wedding day ensemble. Plus, some of our designers here at Hannah Elizabeth Bridal offer an optional split, so you can decide based on your personal preference!

Haven by Jane Hill is a perfect embodiment of this trend. The gown’s thigh-high slit offers further drama to an already statement A-line skirt and intricately embellished bodice. It’s the final touch to a standout gown that is perfect for the bride who wants to make a memorable entrance.

Calima by Luna Novias also embraces this trend beautifully. The high-slit skirt, combined with the vertically-boned bodice and off-the-shoulder sleeves, presents a modern luxury look. It’s a minimalist but flirty gown that speaks to the bride who values both tradition and contemporary style.

Exposed boning

A gorgeous detail that brings attention to the silhouette of the bodice, exposed boning is a trend that beautifully marries the structural elements of a dress with the soft, romantic essence of bridal fashion. We love how bridal designers are using this contemporary trend and incorporating it into their designs for wedding dresses in 2024 and 2025.

Rowie by Jane Hill is a prime example; so much of this glamorous bridal gown centres around the structured exposed boning. Paired with the sweeping bodice detailed and the head-to-toe intricate embellishment, Rowie oozes luxe bride, and the side split is an essential.

Chiara by Luna Novias also showcases this gorgeous 2024 wedding trend. With its exposed boning tulle bodice, Chiara is truly whimsy-meets-romance. The gown’s unforgettable design, complemented by off-the-shoulder sleeves and a thigh-split, encapsulates the fashion-forward spirit of the 2024 bride.

2-Look Dresses and Minis

Speaking of Iris, a huge trend for 2024 and 2025 bridal fashion is to embrace 2-look dresses that enable you as the bride to change up your look throughout the day into the night. Why be limited to one style? The 2-look dress is the answer.

Mimosa is another lovely example by Alena Leena. With its removable sleeves and luxurious silk blend polka dot jacquard, the dress offers a seamless transition from a more formal ceremony to a more relaxed reception look. Alternatively, you can make it your own for either a summer wedding (where you’d like less material on your arms) or a winter wedding, where you could opt for the puffed long-sleeve.

Alena Leena isn’t the only bridal designer to embrace 2-look dresses. Cailin by Luna Novias can either be a mini party dress or a full-length gown, while Luz by Love Story London can either remain minimalist with a simple crepe skirt, or embrace the floral overskirt.

We’re all going 3D

If you really want to stand out as the ultimate fashion-forward bride you’ll be wanting to choose a wedding gown that incorporates 3D elements, either in the form of florals, feathers, sequins or more. 3D elements are transforming bridal gowns into works of art. It’s all about adding an extra dimension of romance and whimsy, with designers skillfully incorporating textures that leap off the fabric.

Banksia by Alena Leena is a breathtaking example of this trend. Featuring exclusively at our Alena Leena Trunk Show in March 2024, Banksia is a luxurious off-the-shoulder crepe wedding gown, adorned with delicate 3D feathers around the bust, adding a layer of dreamy sophistication. For brides seeking an even more dramatic statement, optional feathers on the train of the dress create a mesmerising effect that we are utterly obsessed with.

Hartford by Jane Hill also embraces the impact of 3D appliqué. Featuring intricate 3D flower petals and lustrous pearls from head-to-toe, Hartford is both romantic and modern; the ultimate choice for a bride looking for the best of both worlds.

All the sheer

Finally, sheer elements in bridal fashion are taking a front seat in 2024/2025. Though they have been a more frequent player in the game for the past year or two, with sheer panels often used around the bust or down the sides of a dress, bridal designs are stepping up a notch, using sheer materials in more of their designs for the upcoming seasons. This trend is all about playing with transparency and texture, creating gowns that are both daring and delicate.

Gerbera by Alena Leena is the epitome of this trend. Not only a standout bridal jumpsuit which goes against the grain of wearing a more traditional dress, Gerbera plays with sheer material from head-to-toe, using also-trending 3D floral appliqué and flared trousers for the ultimate fashion-forward bridal look. This is the ideal choice for the bride who wants to break the mould.

Tibby by Luna Novias also captures the essence of this trend with a whimsical and modern approach. This princess-style dress is crafted with floaty tulle and features sheer detachable sleeves and a corset bodice. A much softer look than the statement Gerbera, Tibby by Luna Novias is a romantic choice for the bride who wants to incorporate fashionable trends into her bridal look.
