Shopping for the ultimate bridal shoes​

Shoes are essential both from an aesthetic and a practical point of view! You will need to ensure you have these for your first fitting appointment for your alterations (note: allow approx 2 months before the big day) as this will allow your seamstress to ensure the length of your dress is altered to the perfect length for you.

Select your seamstress and organise your alterations! ​

One crucial step to ensuring your wedding gown fits you perfectly and makes you feel as confident as possible is to arrange to have your dress altered. We advise our brides to allow at least 2 months for alterations, and for a guide on costs, we recommend you set aside approximately anywhere between £400-£600 for standard alterations. Exact pricing will be confirmed by your seamstress and the price will vary based on the volume or complexity of your alterations. 

Depending on the design of your wedding gown, you can likely have the dress taken in or let out depending on the fit prior to the wedding. If you think you’re likely to change size then ensure you organise your alterations closer to the wedding, while still allowing enough time.
